Paul Karpowich
Freshman, Goaltender  - Thunder Bay, ONT

- Paul Karpowich became the first Clarkson freshman goaltender to win the season opener since Dan Murphy ’98 at the start of the 1994-95 campaign. He posted 35 saves in the 6-4 win at RIT, including 16 over the final 20 minutes. Karpowich was named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week.

Alex Benway
Freshman - Queensbury, NY

- Alex Benway led the Clarkson University Cross Country team at the 42nd Albany Invitational, finishing in 85th place with a time of 26:45.7 over the 8,000-meter race.

Volleyball
Megan Mahon
Freshman, Outside Hitter - Irvine, CA

- Megan Mahon stroked 44 kills in just three matches this week, producing 16 in a win over SLU, 16 in a loss to St. John Fisher and 12 more in a three-set sweep of the Sage Colleges. She also added to her team-high total with six aces. Mahon was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
