AT CLARKSON (2003-07)—One of 12 seniors in Clarkson’s Class of 2007 that formed the cornerstone of the Clarkson University Women’s Hockey program … Helped to lead the Golden Knights to three winning campaigns in four seasons and to the ECACHL playoffs in all three years of eligibility … The Green and Gold compiled 69 total victories with Andrea playing a key role in Clarkson’s success.

Four Years That Will Last a Lifetime

SENIOR YEAR (2006-07)—Skated in 16 games as a tenacious role player on the Knights' checking lines … Recorded two assists ... Set up the opening goal in 4-1 win over Vermont (10/30) at Cheel Arena ... Last collegiate point was an assist on the game-winner in 5-1 victory over Cornell in Ithaca (11/25) ... Named to the ECACHL All-Academic team for the second straight year.

JUNIOR YEAR (2005-06)—Versatile player, who played a key role on the Golden Knights’ checking lines, skating in 36 games … Tallied Clarkson’s first goal in 2-0 victory at Wayne State (10/21) … Also scored in the Green and Gold’s 8-0 win at Union (10/30) … Disciplined player who was whistled for just two minutes in penalties … Named to the ECACHL All-Academic team.

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2004-05)—Steady player who skated in all 36 games … Made a big impact in Clarkson’s biggest victory of the program’s brief NCAA history by recording her first collegiate goal with the winning score in the Knights’ 3-2 triumph over traditional NCAA power Brown at Cheel Arena (2/19) … Also picked up two assists … Selected to the ECACHL weekly Honor Roll once (2/21) and named to the conference’s All-Academic team.

FRESHMAN YEAR (2003-04)—One of only four players to see action in all 31 games … Recorded first collegiate point with an assist in the 11-0 win over Sacred Heart (2/8)

BEFORE CLARKSON—Went to Spencerport High School … Played for the Rochester Edge Under-19 Team.

PERSONAL—Daughter of Sandy and Ray Maluta ... Only child born on November 11, 1984 ... Lives in Rochester, NY … Biomolecular Science major ... High-Honor Roll status through four years of high school … Enjoys time with friends, playing roller hockey, golfing, and traveling.
