Wilderness First Responder
The Wilderness First Responder course has been designed specifically to meet the needs of wilderness guides, expedition leaders, and outdoor instructors. It is the outdoor education and recreation industry’s' standard for wilderness medical training. It is the wilderness medicine training course for outdoor professionals...and the course you want your friends to have taken before you travel with them. The course includes WMTC adult CPR certification. The CPR portion of the certification is good for two years whereas the Wilderness First Responder certification is good for three years. The refresher course is a one weekend course or Wilderness First Aid (WFA) can be used. For more information, please check out the SOLO website at http://www.soloschools.com/wfr.html or email the outdoor recreation director Shannon Fyrberg at outdoors@clarkson.edu.
