Wilderness First Aid (WFR renewal)

Wilderness First Aid (WFR renewal)

Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is SOLO's most popular course and it creates a solid foundation in the basics of emergency backcountry medical care. The WFA course is perfrect for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. If an accident occurs in the backcountry while you are out on an adventure, your Wilderness First Aid training could mean the difference between a good outcome and a much worse one.

Started as the "Mountain/Woods First Aid" course in 1975, this was the first course of its kind in the United States, and it is the curriculum upon which all other backcountry medicine courses are based, including Wilderness First Responder (WFR). The WFA can also be used as a refresher course to be recertified for WFR which is required every three years.
