CLARKSON SWEEPS POTSDAM AGAIN, IMPROVE TO 24-6

Potsdam, NY - For the fourth time this season, the Clarkson University Volleyball team swept Potsdam State in three straight games, beating the Bears 34-32, 30-18, 30-12 Tuesday evening at Potsdam's Maxcy Hall.

The Golden Knights move to 24-6 overall this season, boasting an .800 winning percentage, easily the highest in school history. Senior tri-captain Heather Sill (Mendon, NY) led the team with 11 kills, while sophomore Stephanie Thornton (Corning, NY) added 10 kills. Suzanne Clarvoe (Hartwick, NY) contributed 18 assists and Christina Lavoie (Troy, NY) added 16 assists and four aces.

Clarkson finishes the regular season this Saturday afternoon against St. Lawrence. With a win on Saturday, the Golden Knights will likely clinch a bid to the New York State Tournament which will be held by the Saints' the first weekend of November.
