CLARVOE NAMED CoSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA

November 11, 2004

Junior setter Suzanne Clarvoe (Hartwick, NY) of the Clarkson University Volleyball team was named to the CoSIDA District I Academic All-America team for her outstanding achievements on the court and in the classroom in 2004.

Clarvoe, who owns a 3.917 grade point average in Business & Technical Management and was selected to the CoSIDA Second-Team, set the Golden Knights' single-season mark for assists in a season with 1,106, becoming the first player in school history to surpass 900 in one campaign. Clarvoe’s talents also spread to her serving prowess, where she became one of only six players to reach 50 aces in a season. Clarvoe was also selected as a Liberty League All-Conference Second Team all-star and was named to three all-tournament teams during the year.

The Golden Knights went 22-11 this fall and have recorded 51 victories over the last two years, the best two-year run in the history of the program.
