Fort Myers, FL - Junior Brandon Barcomb (Cadyville, NY) and Rob Cowin (Albany, NY) each went 2-for-4 with a run driven in, but the Clarkson University Baseball team dropped a 13-4 decision to nationally-ranked College of Wooster Wednesday afternoon at Terry Park Stadium.

The Golden Knights dropped to 2-5 overall and will face Hope College in a doubleheader on Thursday morning.

Clarkson fell behind 7-0 after three innings when the Fighting Scots produced four runs in the second and three more in the third inning. The Golden Knights pushed a run across in the bottom of the third when Cowin singled home freshman Mike Ruffinen (Wynantskill, NY). Clarkson added another run when Matt Boyle (Buxton, ME) scored J.J. Lorence (Liverpool, NY) with a single. The Golden Knights allowed three more runs in the sixth inning and two in the eighth inning, trailing 12-2. Clarkson added two more in the bottom of the eighth inning with Barcomb and freshman T.J. Brinkman (Troy, NY) producing run-scoring singles.

Clarkson had 10 hits in the game, the most the Golden Knights have produced in a game this season. Lorence saw his hitting streak extended to six games.
