Junior Lindsay Roberts (Averill Park, NY) and freshman Alicia Chace (Cortland, NY) scored two goals apiece, but the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team came up short in Liberty League play, falling 11-4 at Vassar on Saturday afternoon.
Roberts put the Golden Knights on the scoreboard first, at 26:56, but the Brewers went on to out score the Green and Gold by a 2-to-1 margin in the opening 30 minutes for a 6-3 lead at the half. Vassar controlled the second half with a 5-1 run.
Christine Castellan led Vassar (6-4, 1-3) with four goals.
The Brewers out shot the Knights 26-18 and held a 25-10 advantage in ground balls. Sophmore Erin Duffy (Liverpool, NY) made eight saves for Clarkson.
Clarkson (1-12, 0-9) plays at Potsdam on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
