Canton, NY - Though the outcome didn't see the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team end its losing streak, the Golden Knights put together one of the best performances of the season in a 13-10 Liberty League loss to St. Lawrence Tuesday afternoon.

The Golden Knights dropped to 0-9 overall and 0-5 in conference play while St. Lawrence moved to 5-2 and 3-2 in the Liberty League. Clarkson hosts Hamilton College this weekend and will also enjoy the return of numerous former players in the alumni game on Saturday.

The Golden Knights trailed early on, but five straight goals early in the second half saw Clarkson pull to within one, 10-9, with just under 20 minutes remaining. St. Lawrence expanded their lead with three goals in the next 10 minutes and held on for the win.

Lindsey Grigg (Watertown, NY) led the Golden Knights with five goals and Lindsay Roberts (Averill Park, NY) added two scores. Emily Cohen (Bethlehem, NY), Rachel Kopels (Queensbury, NY) and Alicia Chace (Cortland, NY) each picked up a goal and Ashley Edson (Lebanon, NH) and Jen Berman (Syracuse, NY) each recorded an assist. Carolyn Cherry scored seven goals to lead St. Lawrence.

Erin Duffy (Liverpool, NY) stopped 11 shots in net for Clarkson and Cynthia Saul and Rebecca Timbers combined to make 12 saves for the Saints.
