HENSON REPEATS AS ESPN the MAGAZINE ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA

Junior forward Mickala Henson (Waverly, NY) became the second Clarkson University athlete this season to garner ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America honors as she was named to the District 1 Second Team for the second consecutive year for the Golden Knights' Women's Basketball team.

Henson, who owns a 3.98 grade-point average in aeronautical engineering, joined Suzanne Clarvoe of the volleyball team as athletes who have achieved back-to-back nods for their work in the classroom and in their athletic endeavors at Clarkson this season. Henson is only the seventh female athlete at Clarkson to gain multiple Academic All-America honors.

Henson is averaging 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in a reserve role for the Golden Knights and is second in the Liberty League in blocks per game with 1.5 and has surpassed four blocks in a game on four different occasions this season. For her career, Henson ranks second all-time at Clarkson with 97 career blocks and is now entering the top 30 all-time at the school in scoring and rebounding.
