Throughout the past few years, the Clarkson University Baseball team has sent its players to participate in the numerous college summer leagues scattered across the country, but no player in recent memory has performed as well as Greg Chojecki (West Seneca, NY) did in the Boise Summer League in Idaho in 2007.
Chojecki, a junior pitcher who was selected for Liberty League All-Star honors during his freshman campaign for the Golden Knights, emerged as one of the top players in the Boise Summer League in his first season in Idaho. A First-Team Post-Season All-Star in the BSL, Chojecki earned mid-season all-star honors for the Nampa Wolfpack of the Sawtooth Division. He topped the entire circuit in strikeouts (49) and ranked fifth in the league in innings at 49.2. He also was tied for second in victories with five wins against just one loss. His 3.26 ERA and .234 opponents batting average were also outstanding figures for the league.
