Potsdam, NY - With their last regular season home game occuring in September, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team added Potsdam State to the schedule for an exhibition game for a chance to honor the five graduating seniors. The Golden Knights gave the veterans plenty to celebrate as they defeated Potsdam 6-0 Saturday afternoon at Hantz Turf Field.

Clarkson took little time getting on the scoreboard with a long shot from senior Christie Knapp (Mooers, NY), who accepted a cross from classmate Hannah Henley (Warner, NH) just two minutes into the game. Midway through the half, the seniors continued to provide the scoring as Megan Bicknell (Potsdam, NY) headed in a corner kick from Linde Zajac (Cicero, NY). With less than seven minutes remaining in the half, sophomore Hilary Mosher (Hilton, NY) scored off another corner kick, this time with the assist going to Alyssa Dausman (Syracuse, NY).

The lead held at 3-0 until the final 10 minutes when the Knights added three more scores. In the 82nd minute, Jill Clevenger (Lagrangeville, NY) scored off a corner kick. Less than three minutes later, Knapp scored again when she finished off a pass from senior Brittany Monroe (Massena, NY). Clarkson closed out the scoring with 1:07 remaining as Emily Garrant (Marcellus, NY) scored on a hard shot from outside the penalty box into thte top corner, with the assist going to Mosher.

The Golden Knights finished with a 28-1 edge in shots and a 6-0 lead in corner kicks.
