For the fifth consecutive week a Clarkson University Women’s Hockey standout has earned ECAC Hockey Player of the Week honors with the announcement of Golden Knight sophomore forward Kali Gillanders (Kyle, SASK) gaining this week’s accolades.

A hard-working right wing, Gillanders’ first two goals of the season were game-winners as she help the Knights to a 3-0 week against league foes. Her first goal of the season was the deciding score in last Tuesday’s 4-1 victory over seventh-ranked St. Lawrence. It came just 17 seconds after the Saints had tied the score 1-1 early in the second period. This past Friday, Gillanders tallied the only goal of the game as Clarkson held off Brown for a 1-0 triumph. She also played a key role as a checking forward in limiting the opponents to just one goal and 44 shots over three games.

Ranked second in the nation in the latest USCHO.com Poll, Clarkson owns a 9-1-1 overall record and stands at 3-0-0 in ECAC Hockey action. The Knights take to the road for the entire month of November when they play at conference powerhouses Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend.
