Senior midfielder Megan Bicknell (Potsdam, NY) became the fifth Clarkson University Women's Soccer player to be selected as an Academic All-American, making the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA College Division District 1 Third-Team.
Bicknell, a senior with a near flawless grade-point average in the school's Global Supply Chain Management major, was one of the top players for the Golden Knights this season, scoring a goal and an assist in 16 games. Among her extracurricular activities, Bicknell was a founding member of APICS (Society for Operations Management) of the Clarkson University Chapter, is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for high academic achievement in business, and also gained the Crane Co. Foundation Supply Chain Scholarship in 2009.
Bicknell is the fifth women's soccer player to gain Academic All-American status, joining Christie Knapp (2008), Jen Bashant (1998 and 2000), Kim Bouchard (1996 and 1997), and Shannon McCann (1995).

To be eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-American honors, student-athletes must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale, be a starter or important reserve, and must have completed a minimum of one full academic year at the institution. District 1 of the College Division includes all Division III schools in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Quebec.
