The Golden Knights went 6-0 against Liberty League competition in the regular season.
For the first time in the history of the tournament, the Clarkson University Volleyball team has been selected as the number-one seed in the Liberty League Championships this weekend at Vassar College.
The Golden Knights, 25-5 overall on the season, were a perfect 6-0 against league opponents this season (3-0 versus St. Lawrence, 2-0 against Skidmore, and 1-0 in one match against Union), gaining the nod over host Vassar. One of the strongest fields ever at the tournament, all five squads have records over .500. The tournament is set up in a round-robin format, so there is no advantage to being the top seed other than enjoying full rest going into the match up between the top two seeds on Saturday afternoon.
