Rochester, NY - Sophomore Mike Rowe (Glenville, NY) and freshman Sean Parnett (Clifton Park, NY) both posted top-3 finishes for the Clarkson University Swim team on the second day of the Liberty League Championships Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Knights' men finished in sixth place with 276 points while the women came in eighth with 103 points. The swim team is off until mid-January.

Rowe swam to a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke in 55.10 seconds and then added a fourth-place showing in the 200 backstroke in 1:59.44 in the afternoon session. Freshman Sean Parnett nearly matched Rowe's performance, coming in third in the 200 butterfly in 2:03.09 and ninth in the 100 butterfly in 56.99.

Also posting top-10 finishes for the Knights were senior Bob Stevens (Lakewood, NY), who came in 10th in the 100 backstroke in 56.63, and freshman Paul Telesca (Liverpool, NY), who placed 10th in the 100 freestyle.

Coming in just outside of the top 10, freshman Devin Hallam (Schenectady, NY) came in 11th in the 100 freestyle. The top finisher for the Clarkson women was Nicole Pera (Jamison, PA), who was 12th in the 200 backstroke.
