Winter Park, CO - Cedrik Proteau-Dubois (Ste-Adele, QUE) had the best performance of the week for the Clarkson University Alpine Ski teams as the freshman finished 11th in the slalom to help the Golden Knights to a sixth-place finish in the event Saturday afternoon at the USCSA National Championships in Colorado.
Clarkson's top three skiers finished in the top quarter of all participants in the slalom. Proteau-Dubois finished in 1:42.83 for his 11th-place showing, followed by fellow first-year collegians Bill O'Connor (Mahopac, NY) in 25th (1:47.47) and JP Phaneuf (Montreal, QUE) in 27th (1:47.86). Phaneuf had the third-fasted first run, but his pace slowed to place 27th. Junior Drew Bonner (Killington, VT) was the final Clarkson skier to finish both runs, placing 42nd in 1:54.13 among the 100-plus skiers at the event.
