Clarkson Men Swim to Win at St. Michael's

Freshman Sean Parnett (Clifton Park, NY) swan to three individual first-place finishes in leading the Clarkson University Men’s Swim team to a 137-93 victory at St, Michael’s College on Wednesday.

 

Senior Laura Shaddak (Oswego, NY) won two events and was part of a first-place relay team for the Golden Knight Women, who lost 157-79 to the Purple Knights.

 

Parnett finished first in the 1000 Free (10:36.58), the 100 Butterfly (58.17) and 500 Free (5:09.85).  Classmate Devin Hallam (Schenectady, NY) took first in both the 50 Free (23.36) and 100 Free (51.20). Hallam was also part of a the Green and Gold’s winning 200 Free relay team effort (1:33.11) along with sophomore Mitchell Maciuba (Clarence, NY ), junior Robert Stevens (Lakewood, NY) and freshman Paul Telesca (Liverpool, NY).

 

Sophomore Mike Rowe (Glenville, NY) won the 200 Free (1:51.58) and 100 Back (59.93). Junior Brendan Hofler (Glen Gardner, NJ) placed first in the 200 IM (2:09.06).

 

Shaddak won the 50 Free (27.21) and 100 Butterfly (1:06.63), and swan the last leg of the winning 200 Free relay (1:49.18). Sophomore Emma Bonan (Queensbury, NY), senior Amanda Bragan (Auburn, NY) and freshman Jillian Brown (Kenmore, NY) also contributed to the winning relay effort.

 

Brown also placed first in the 100 Free (59.57).

 

Clarkson is back in action on Friday when the Knights host Potsdam State at Fuller Pool, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
