Katherine Jondro finished third in the giant slalom Saturday for the Golden Knights.

Labrador Mountain - Sophomores Cedrik Proteau-Dubois (Ste-Adele, QUE) and Sophie LeBlanc (Cumberland, ME) each posted top finishes for the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team as the Golden Knights won both the men's and women's giant slalom events on Saturday afternoon at the Hamilton Invitational.

The Golden Knights' women held four of the top six positions in taking first place while the men controlled three of the top seven spots on Saturday. The performance was even more dominant on Sunday when the invitational was completed, as Clarkson took the top three spots in both the men's and women's races.

LeBlanc narrowly edged teammate Jill Clevenger (Lagrangeville, NY) in the giant slalom, winning with a time of 1:27.15 while Clevenger followed at 1:27.66. Freshman Katherine Jondro (Waitsfield, VT) took fourth in 1:28.81. Junior Meghan Cleason (Canandaigua, NY) finished sixth and senior Emma Masur (Wayne, NJ) finished 10th.

On the men's side, Proteau-Dubois came in first in the giant slalom with a time of 1:22.37, barely besting freshman David Simon (Montvale, NJ), who came in third at 1:22.78. Sophomore John Bennett (Queensbury, NY) placed seventh in 1:25.57.

On Sunday, Clarkson claimed the top three spots in the slalom, as David Simon won his first race in 1:18.74. Proteau-Dubois came in second and JP Phaneuf (Montreal, QUE) came in third in the slalom. Rounding out Clarkson's top skiers were John Bennett in seventh, and senior Drew Bonner (Killington, VT) in 11th.

The women also topped the leaderboards on Sunday, as Meghan Cleason came in first in the slalom with a time of 1:27.57. Clevenger again came in second place and Jondro moved up a spot to third in the slalom. Masur took 14th for the Knights on Sunday.
