Parnett Picked as Liberty League Rookie of Week for Second Time

Freshman Sean Parnett (Clifton Park, NY) enjoyed a dominant week for the Clarkson University Swim team, posting seven individual wins over the course of three dual meets en route to earning Liberty League Rookie of the Week honors.
Parnett, who shared the honor with another rookie from the University of Rochester, paced Clarkson with seven individual victories over the course of three dual meets last week. Against St. Michael's, he won the 1000 freestyle (10:36.58), the 100 butterfly (58.17) and 500 freestyle (5:09.85). In back-to-back meets, he won the 200 butterfly (2:18.78) and 800 freestyle (9:23.05) against Potsdam State, and then won the 50 freestyle (23.64) and 50 butterfly (26.41) versus Utica.
The Golden Knights' men's swim team is off until the final weekend of February, when the team competes at the New York State meet in Syracuse.
