Pickering and Linton Gain Conference All-Star Status

Seniors Elson Pickering (Brooklyn, NY) and Brandon Linton (Queens, NY) led the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in nearly 50 years, and the pair were rewarded on Thursday with Liberty League All-Star selections.

Pickering was named as a Second-Team All-Star for the second time in his career. The forward averaged 10.8 points per game, leading the team and ranking 11th in the conference. He also averaged 6.1 rebounds per game (ninth), shot 71.9% from the free throw line (ninth), and 34 blocked shots (third). Pickering also became just the 16th player in Clarkson history to surpass 1,000 career points, reaching the plateau versus Hamilton on February 13th.

Linton was chosen as an Honorable Mention All-Star, the third time in his career that he was picked to the Liberty League all-star team at some level. Linton led the conference in assists (4.3 apg) and finished second on the team in scoring at 9.8 points per contest. Additionally, he ranked in the top 15 in the conference in steals, blocked shots, and field goal percentage.

The two seniors, along with classmate Keith Murray (Queens, NY), finished their career with more wins over their four-year careers than any other group in the program's history.
