Freshman Katie VanDeValk (Baldwinsville, NY) scored the Golden Knights’ lone goal as the Clarkson University Women’s Lacrosse team lost to Union College 15-1 in Liberty League action on the road in Schenectady, NY on Friday afternoon.

Union (8-5, 5-0) remained perfect in conference play by outscoring Clarkson 9-1 in the opening 30 minutes and then adding six more goals in the second half.

The Dutchwomen led 8-0 before VanDeValk tallied her 32nd goal of the season, off an assist from sophomore Alyssa Dausman (Syracuse, NY), with 7:28 remaining in the first half.

Chelsea Charette led a balanced Union attack with three goals.

The Dutchwomen outshot the Knights 33-12 and controlled ground balls 25-12. Dausman scooped up a team-high four ground balls for the Green and Gold. Clarkson sophomore Hannah Walters (Amherst, NH) made 13 saves.

The Knights, at 6-8 overall and 0-7 in the Liberty League, close out the season on Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. game at Skidmore.
