Knights and Skidmore Play to Scoreless Tie

Saratoga Springs, NY - A 61-minute lightning delay kept both teams cool offensively as the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team and Skidmore College finished in a 0-0 double overtime in Liberty League action Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Knights evened their record at 6-6-3 overall and moved to 0-5-2 in the Liberty League, while Skidmore saw its record go to 3-8-2 overall and 2-3-2 in conference matches. Clarkson will take on Oswego State on Wednesday and will finish out the season at home with a game against St. Lawrence University.

Skidmore had 20 shots in the game, but most of them spun wide or high of the Clarkson frame, but Kim Kenline (Akron, NY) was nevertheless outstanding in her return to action, making nine saves in 110 minutes for her fifth shutout in 14 games this year.

The Thoroughbreds had a 17-3 edge in shots in the regulation, but Clarkson started to even things up in the overtime frames as both teams had three shots. Skidmore also had a 8-5 lead in corner kicks. Gab Lawrence made four saves for Skidmore.
