Clarkson Women's Hockey Announces Class of 2017

Coming off the best season in the program’s 10-year history this past winter, the Clarkson University Women’s Hockey team will be striving to surpass that success and will look towards the Class of 2017 to play a key role in the 2013-14 campaign.

Co-head coaches Matt and Shannon Desrosiers along with assistant coach Matt Kelly have added two forwards - Genevieve Bannon and Jessica Gillham,  one defenseman - Corie Jacobson, and one goaltender – McKenzie Johnson to the talented Green and Gold roster. The four members of the Golden Knights incoming class will add to the depth of a Clarkson squad that graduated just two players - forward Danielle Skirrow and defenseman Hailey Wood - from this past year’s team which skated to 28-10 overall record, including an 18-4 ECAC Hockey mark.

“The Class of 2017 brings a wealth of experience with their respective National Development programs and club/high school teams," stated Matt Desrosiers.  "This will surely add to the depth of our returning core group of players that made tremendous strides last season competing in the NCAA Tournament.  This group of incoming freshmen has incredible character and leadership qualities that will only help them make a smooth transition to college hockey.  We are extremely excited to see this class suit up next season in the Green and Gold.”
