Coleman Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

Junior John Coleman (Potsdam, NY) of the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team has been named a Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District award winner (District 3) for the second straight year as one of five players from Division III institutions from the state of New York.

Coleman, who sports a 3.98 cumulative grade-point average in mathematics, also earned the honor last year as well as gaining notice on the CoSIDA Academic All-America National Second Team. Additionally, he was chosen for CoSIDA Academic All-District in baseball in 2013.

Averaging 18.8 points per game, Coleman ranks third in the Liberty League in scoring average and enters the weekend just four points shy of joining Clarkson's 1000-point club. He has scored 20 or more points in nine of the team's 15 games this year and has produced three double-doubles. He leads the Liberty League in both field-goal percentage (56.3%) and steals per contest (2.5 spg) while also ranking in the top 10 in rebounding (7.4 rpg).
