Blackwell, an Engineering and Management major with a grade-point average of 3.59, became the eighth Clarkson men's soccer player to earn the honor, and the first since 2011. A three-time Liberty League All-Star, Blackwell is one of the highest scoring defensive players in recent memory for the Golden Knights, having tallied three goals along with an assist this season. Also a three-year captain and ECAC Metro/Upstate All-Star last season, Blackwell has been named to the Dean's List four times and has spent the last two years as the President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Carfi, an Environmental Engineering major with a grade-point average of 3.90, is in her second season with the Golden Knights and became the ninth women's soccer player from Clarkson to be named a CoSIDA Academic All-District winner. Carfi has played in 16 games this season, starting 14 times, and leads the team in scoring (11 points), goals (4) and is tied for the team lead in assists (3). She has been named to the President's List each semester at Clarkson, is the President of TXA (Environmental Engineering honor society) and is the Director of Membership for the SWE (Society of Women Engineers).

Both Blackwell and Carfi will move on to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American National ballot, with selections being announced in a few weeks.
