Box Score
Aurora, NY - In the past few years, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team has enjoyed several 3-0 starts, but with an 87-66 win over Wells College on Saturday, the Golden Knights pushed their winning streak to four to start the season for the first time since 2006-07.

The Golden Knights began the 06-07 campaign with five straight wins, a streak Clarkson will look to match next Tuesday when it travels to Oswego State. The Express dropped to 0-3 on the season.

Wells jumped out to a modest 7-2 lead in the first few minutes, but the Knights went on a 22-4 run in a span of seven minutes to push their lead to double-figures. Though the Express climbed back into the game and trailed by just seven (24-17), Clarkson ended the half with another 13-3 run, capped off by a pair of free throws from Dylan Hodownes (Honeoye Falls, NY). Clarkson went into the break with a 20-point advantage (44-24), and though Wells would whittle the Knights lead down a tick at the start of the second half, the Express would never seriously challenge the Knights for the remainder of the game.

Junior Felix Abongo (Beacon, NY) led Clarkson with 21 points, shooting 7-for-11 from the field and 6-for-9 from the free throw line, and kicked in six rebound, while senior Charles McAllister (Olathe, KS) tallied a career-high 20 points on 6-for-7 shooting, including 3-for-3 from beyond the 3-point arc, and added in four assists. John Coleman (Potsdam, NY) shot 6-for-10 from the field for an efficient 16 points while Derek Hart (Poughkeepsie) tossed in 11 points on 5-for-7 shooting in just 13 minutes. Dylan Hodownes also added 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Additionally, a 3-pointer from Coleman at the 3:03 mark in the first half helped him reach the 1300-point mark for his career, making him just the seventh player in Clarkson history to achieve that total.

For Wells, Jordan Jean scored 12 points on 5-for-5 shooting and MJ Williams added 10 points, going 4-for-5 from the field. The rest of the game shot just 13-for-39. The Express was able to stay in the game by shooting 8-for-17 from beyond the 3-point arc after making just three of their long distance shots in 27 tries in the first two games of the season.
