Box Score
With four different goal scorers and a 23-save effort by sophomore goaltender Steve Perry (Ligonier, PA) the Clarkson University Hockey team shut out Princeton 4-0 on Saturday night to complete a four-point weekend in the opening of ECAC Hockey play at Cheel Arena.

The Golden Knights, who defeated 14th-ranked Quinnipiac  2-1 in Friday's home league-opener, improved to 5-5-4 overall and to 3-1-2 in ECAC Hockey play, good for a second-place tie in the conference standings.

Clarkson controlled play from the start and outshot Princeton (1-6-1, 1-5-0) 31-23.  The Knights went 1-3 on the power play and killed off all five of the Tigers' man-advantage opportunities.

Clarkson took the lead late in the opening stanza. Freshman Ben Dalpe (Paris, ONT) pounced on a loose puck at the top of the left circle and fired in a shot at 16:35 for his first career goal. Sophomore Troy Josephs (Whitby, ONT) and junior Christian Powers (Carlisle, ONT) set up the goal with strong work along the back boards to free the puck out to Dalpe.

Sophomore Jordan Boucher (St. Therese, QUE) started the goal scoring in the period with his second power-play marker of the weekend, finishing off assists from juniors Pat Megannety (Oakville, ONT) and Paul Geiger (Stouffville, ONT) at 1:38.
