Howe and Tiley Earn ECAC Hockey Honors

A pair of standouts for the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team were honored by ECAC Hockey with weekly awards. Senior assistant captain Olivia Howe was named the league's Player of the Week, while sophomore Shea Tiley was selected as the conference's Goaltender of the Week after helping to lead the 4/5th-ranked Golden Knights to a weekend sweep on the road over No. 9 Boston University.

Howe set up the game-winner in Friday's come-from-behind 4-2 victory and tallied the first two goals in Saturday's 4-1 triumph to preserve the seven-game winning streak for the Golden Knights. The Moose Jaw, SASK native now has four goals and four assists on the young season, averaging 1.14 points per contest.

Tiley backstopped the Green and Gold to the sweep, combining to stop 54 of 57 Terrier shots. She registered 32 saves in Friday's come-from-behind win, including 17 in the second period. The Owen Sound, ONT native followed with 22 more stops in Saturday's victory to record her 30th career win. Tiley posted a 1.50 goals-against average and .947 save percentage in the two road wins.

Freshman forward Kelly Mariani was named the ECAC Hockey weekly Honor Roll.
