Mercer Named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week

Junior forward Cayley Mercer is the recipient of ECAC Hockey's Player of the Week award after her standout performance in the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team's sweep of the University of New Hampshire this past weekend.

Clarkson's leading scorer enjoyed a strong weekend at Cheel Arena, recording back-to-back hat tricks in the two victories (4-2, 6-4) against the Wildcats to help the fourth-ranked Golden Knights remain perfect on the season at 9-0. Mercer leads the conference in scoring averaging 1.89 points per game in overall games.

The Exeter, ONT native finished with a plus/minus rating of +3 on the weekend and recorded 15 shots.

Sophomore goaltender Shea Tiley and freshman forward Loren Gabel were slected to the league's weekly Honor Roll.
