Carfi Chosen CoSIDA All-District Winner for Second Straight Year

Senior forward Nikki Carfi of the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team was chosen as a CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 winner when the vote was announced on Thursday, becoming just the third Golden Knights' women's soccer player to earn the honor on multiple occasions.

Carfi, who has a 3.86 grade-point average in Environmental Engineering, was the ninth player to earn CoSIDA All-District honors last year when she gained notice as a junior. She now joines Jen Bashant (1998, 2000) and Kim Bouchard (1996, 1997) as the only two-time winners among Clarkson women's soccer student-athletes. Carfi is among the team leaders in points this year with seven points and ranks second on the team in assists with five helpers.

Carfi, along with nine others, helped the Liberty League dominate the All-District 3 awards this year with 10 of the 12 spots. She will now advance to the natioanl ballot to be announced in two weeks.
