Austin, TX – Senior guard/forward John Coleman of Clarkson University highlights the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-America® Division III Men's Basketball Teams as released Tuesday by Capital One and the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Coleman was chosen as the Capital One Academic All-America® of the Year honoree for the men's basketball team.

Coleman caps his outstanding career by being named Capital One Academic All-America® for the fourth time, including first team basketball honors for the second consecutive year. He was also a third team Capital One Academic All-America® baseball selection last spring. A 3.97 student as a mathematics major, Coleman is a two-sport star at Clarkson as he has earned All-Liberty League honors three times as a member of the baseball team.

Coleman earned NABC and D3hoops.com all-region honors last season. He is the Golden Knights' all-time leader in points, steals, field goals made and field goal percentage. Coleman is one of five active Division III players with over 1,500 (1,649) points and 600 (672) rebounds, and ranks first among active Division III players in field goals made. He has led Clarkson to a 19-6 record this season including a 12-4 league mark. Coleman is averaging 16.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, and is shooting 53.9 percent from the field.
