Wright Tapped for Third CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Honor, Second IWLCA Regional Award

Although she has graduated, Christine Wright continues to earn accolades for her prowess on the field and her undeniable talent in the classroom as the former Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse player was chosen a CoSIDA Academic All-District winner for the third straight year. Wright also picked up her second consecutive IWLCA Empire Region honor, finishing as a First-Team All-Star.

Wright, who owned a 4.00 grade-point average in Electrical Engineering through her first seven semesters at Clarkson, will move on to the CoSIDA National Ballot for Academic All-American consideration. Additionally, as an IWLCA Empire First-Team regional winner, one of just four players from the Liberty League to earn the accolade, Wright will advance to the national ballot for All-American deliberation. In 2015, Wright gained IWLCA Empire Second-Team honors.

A four-time conference all-star, Wright not only repeated her Liberty League First-Team All-Star status in 2016, but she was named the Liberty League Co-Player of the Year, marking the first time a Golden Knight earned the honor in the program's 38-year history. Wright paced the Liberty League in scoring and assists and ranked among the national leaders in the latter category, averaging 2.75 assists per contest. She became the program's all-time leading scorer in mid-season and finished her career with 287 points on 161 goals and 126 assist.
