Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | September 11, 2016

CU Women's Soccer Dominates Green Mountain

 After banging home eight goals on Saturday, the Clarkson University Women's soccer team scored seven goals on Sunday in a 7-0 win over Green Mountain College.

Clarkson is now a perfect 4-0-0 to start the year while Green Mountain drops to 0-3-0.

Clarkson started the scoring just five minutes into the game. Kanoe Eichholz scored her first goal of the year at 5:05, and then at 8:46, Eichholz had the assist on Courtney Black's goal.

The third goal came at 22:43 when Lauren Flynn scored her third penalty kick of the season after she was taken down in the box. Less than two minutes later, Brianna Weber scored to extend the lead to 4-0.

In the second half, Emily Hallee grabbed a goal at 58:51 with Victoria Goudreau getting the assist. The Golden Knights then scored two goals in the final two minutes of the game. First Sabrina Sepowski scored with Weber getting the assist and then Hallee scored her second goal of the game with less than 10 seconds remaining on the clock. Danielle Martin recorded the assist on Hallee's second goal.

Clarkson outshot Green Mountain 26-0, with 13 of the shots on goal. Clarkson took all five of the game's corner kicks. Elyse Green started the game in goal for Clarkson, playing the first 14:25 before Nicole Zlotnick took over for the final 75:35.

Clarkson's next game will be on September 16th , when the Green and Gold travel to play Oswego.
