CU Women's Basketball Preview - at SUNY Canton (11/21)

Heading into the brief Thanksgiving break, the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team will be playing its fourth game in seven days when it travels down Route 11 to take on SUNY Canton on Tuesday.

LIVE STATS/LIVE VIDEO

The Series: The Golden Knights have won 21 of the 28 all-time meetings, including the last four contests. Clarkson's average margin of victory over the Kangaroos since the 2013-14 season is 26.0 points per game, including an 18-point win at Alumni Gymnasium last year.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-1): Seniors Madison Shea and Devin Sorell have already proven that the Knights don't need both to be at the top of their game to win. In the season-opener, Shea recorded a career-high 29 points in a win over Oswego State, while Saturday Sorell tallied 19 of her game-high 27 points in a victory over Plattsburgh State. Each is averaging 12.7 points per game on the young season, and the team has already hit 22 3-pointers.

Key Stats for SUNY Canton (1-1): Freshman Antanasia Chambers is shouldering the early load for the Kangaroos, averaging 19.0 points per game while shooting 55.2% from the floor. The first-year collegian has bolstered Canton's shooting percentage by 61 points, as the team is shooting 38.2% from the floor collectively, but just 32.1% without Chambers. Tatiana Laroche has also kicked in 12.5 points per game in the early going.
