Sorell became just the fourth junior and seventh player overall to reach 1000 career points for the Clarkson Women's Basketball program in mid-February. Scoring was Sorell's calling card in 2016-17 as she ranked second in the Liberty League in points per game (16.2), with her best performances coming in conference play (18.7 ppg in Liberty League contests). The diminutive guard was able to convert from outside, leading the league in 3-pointers with 51, and get to the free throw line, tallying a league best 121 makes from the line. Sorell reached double figures in 25 of the team's 27 games and surpassed 20 points on seven occasions. She also enjoyed two more 30-point games, including a career-high 34 during the game in which she reached 1000 career points.

Grobe, chosen as a Liberty League Honorable Mention All-Star for the second straight year, was picked as the conference's defensive player of the year once again, but this time the honor was her own after sharing it last season. A versatile and lanky guard who can play quick guards and strong forwards, Grobe was always tasked with the top offensive option for Clarkson's opponents. She made blocked 16 shots and made 42 steals while limiting her opponents' scoring chances. On offense, Grobe ranked 14th in the league in scoring (10.4 ppg) and was 10th in the conference in assists (2.5 apg). The senior guard finished eighth all-time in scoring at Clarkson (991 points), sixth in field goals (419), eighth in assists (242) and fifth in blocked shots (75). Grobe also tied the program's record for most games played, participating in 105 contests in four seasons thanks to three playoff appearances.

Stewart became Clarkson's third Liberty League All-Rookie team selection in the last five years, joining Grobe (2014) and Ashley Loggins (2013), with each being a unanimous choice. Stewart led the Golden Knights in field goal percentage (46.4%) and averaged 8.2 points per game, which ranked 25th in the conference. Starting 22 times in 27 games, Stewart reached double digits in scoring on nine occasions, with a season-high of 16 coming in the season-opener against Oswego State. She also produced 3.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
