Cayley Mercer reached another milestone in her illustrious career for the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team this past weekend at the ECAC Hockey Tournament Championship.

A Top 3 Finalist for the 2017 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, the senior left wing entered the Clarkson record book as the Golden Knights' all-time leading goal scorer. In Saturday's conference semifinal game against Princeton at Cheel Arena, Mercer tallied her nation-leading 26th goal of the season at 11:49 of the third period to put the Green and Gold on top 3-0 en route to a 4-0 victory over the Tigers. That score gave the Exeter, Ontario native her 78th career goal, surpassing the previous Clarkson mark of 77 set by 2014 Patty Kazmaier Award winner Jamie Lee Rattray '14.

Through 157 career games, Mercer has tallied 173 points, including 95 assists. The Clarkson co-captain is just eight points shy of reaching Rattray's all-time mark of 181 career points (77-104). Mercer has tallied 26 goals and 31 assists through 38 games this season, helping to lead the Knights to a 29-4-5 overall record and their fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Over her career at Clarkson, Mercer has scored 16 game-winning goal, 15 power-play markers and two shorthanded tallies.

The ECAC Hockey Player of the Year, Mercer played a leading role for the Green and Gold as Clarkson won both the conference regular-season (19-1-2) title and the league's tournament championship.

Mercer will have the opportunity to add to her numbers on Saturday when Clarkson hosts Cornell in NCAA Quarterfinal competition at Cheel Arena, faceoff at 3:00 p.m.
