Josh Dunne was able to get his first of the season in the second period to put the Knights up 1-0. They would remain up a goal until the Saints were able to breakthrough on their 4th attempt on the power play, at 8:03 of the third. Â
The Knights had two great chances to end the game in the final seconds when
Josh Dunne created a turn over. Emil Zetterquist was able to make the saves late and the game headed to overtime, where the Knights had possession but a turnover at the blueline allowed St. Lawrence to get an odd man rush and score on a shot just under the cross bar by Luc Salem.
Ethan Haider made 29 saves in net for Clarkson. The Knights had 4 power play chances but were not able to convert.Â
These two teams will face off again on Sunday in Canton at Appleton Arena. Puck Drop at 4:00 pm
