Game Recap: Men's Hockey |

Knights tie Colgate, win the shootout

Clarkson was not able to get the regulation win, but was able to withstand a penalty kill in overtime and win the shoot out session for the extra point in league.

Clarkson got on the scoreboard in the second period, as Anthony Romano scored on the power play at 5:21 on a feed from Jack Jacome and Connor McCarthy.

After starting the 3rd period with a power play, the Knights couldn't connect and shortly after at 2:03 Colgate took advantage with a goal to tie the game 1-1.

In the overtime, Clarkson had the puck on the rush but as Colgate transitioned Romano was whistled for hooking, which put the Raiders on the 4-3 power play in overtime.  Clarkson was able to kill off that chance and force the OT shootout.

In the shootout, Ethan Haider made all 3 saves and Zach Tsekos was able to score to give the Knights the Shoot out win.

Clarkson's Ethan Haider finished with 31 saves and Clarkson generated 28 shots on goal.

Clarkson went 1 for 3 on the power play and killed off all 4 chances on the power play for Colgate.

The 2 points keeps Clarkson in second place, but they are now 4 points behind league leader, Quinnipiac, who swept St. Lawrence this weekend.
