The Series: Clarkson has won 13 times in 34 meetings against Skidmore, also recording two ties. Two of the last three contests went to overtime, including a double-overtime scoreless tie in 2021, something that will be avoided this year with the NCAA's removal of overtime for collegiate soccer games.

Key Stats for Clarkson (6-0-1, 0-0-1 Liberty League): Saturday's game was the first time that the Golden Knights, ranked 19th in the country according to the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, were held scoreless in 2022, but the team maintained its shutout streak to seven games as the only team in NCAA Division III Men's Soccer yet to allow a goal. In fact, only three other teams have limited opponents to only one score thus far. Vassar currently ranks second in the Liberty League in goals allowed at six. The two-man rotating first-year goalkeepers of Carter Kladstrup and Josh Morelli have combined for 21 saves, each averaging three per contest. Freshman defender Christian Silvano and sophomore Kai Endo lead the team in minutes, helping the Knights' consistency, as Silvano has been off the field for only 18 minutes and Endo just 61 minutes.

Key Stats for Skidmore (3-1-3, 0-0-1 Liberty League): The Thoroughbreds also possess a solid defense, ranking third in the league in goals allowed with just seven, an average of only one per game. Bobby Stratts has played well between the posts, making 43 saves (over six per contest) with an .860 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average. Kamal Ibrahim leads the team and league in goals with seven, and ranks second in the Liberty League in points with 14. His goals come in bunches, as he has three two-goal games in 2022. Finn Weber also adds to the team's offense with seven points, thanks to two goals and three assists. Skidmore plays aggressively, having amassed 18 yellow cards in only seven games (2.57 per game), which is easily the highest figure in the conference.
