After a successful non-league stretch, the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team heads back from its Florida trip prepared to open Liberty League play, as the Golden Knights host RIT on Saturday at Hantz Field.

The Series: Clarkson has won the last two contests against the Tigers, including a 20-15 victory in Rochester last year. RIT does hold the lead in the all-time series at 8-5.

Key Stats for Clarkson (5-1): The Golden Knights welcome the most recent member to its 100-point club on Wednesday when Madelynn Barnum scored three goals to eclipse triple digits for her career. It likely won't be long until she has more company, as Julia Lavarnway has 36 points this year (12-24-36) and is just three points shy of 100 for her collegiate career. Grad student Mia Petrone is also creeping up on 100, as she has 84 in her time with the Golden Knights. Lavarnway leads the Liberty League in total points with 36 and her 6.00 points per contest rank second in the conference.

Key Stats for RIT (2-2): Most of the top scorers from a year go for the Tigers have graduated, but they have quickly been replaced by newcomers to the team. First-year collegian Adele Jones has 13 points (7-6-13) with 10 groundballs and 22 draw controls in three of the team's first four games this year (the contest in Florida versus Farmingdale has yet to be included in the 2023 statistics). Another first-year Zoe Heffernan is next with 11 points (7-4-11) while more familiar names like Kayleigh Ground (7-1-8) and Carrissa Hlywa (7-0-7) are also tied for the team lead in goals scored.
