The Series: The Golden Knights won both games in a 2017-2018 series against the Spartans, edging Castleton by the score of 2-0 in both contests.

Key Stats for Clarkson (1-1-0): Despite having more shots on goal and more corner kicks in both contests this season, it has taken the Knights a little time to find the back of the net in two early-season games. Tayte Wong's game-winner against Morrisville came at 65:05, and the goals from Eric McKean and Nolan Grady versus Plattsburgh State came in the 77th minute and 82nd minute, respectively. The Green and Gold carried the play after the first 10 minutes against the Cardinals and controlled most of Wednesday's contest against the Mustangs and the team should even out its scoring production from the first and second halves.

Key Stats for Castleton (1-2-0): The Spartans out shot their opponent 24-1 on Wednesday, but had deficits of 10 and 8, respectively, in the first two contests of the year, both losses. Toby Ritzkowski has five points on two goals and an assist, but he is the only player for the Spartans in on multiple goals this year, as five others have scored once without an assist. Andres Soto-Burgos stopped 13 shots in a busy weekend for Castleton, while JP Maul picked up the team's lone win without making a save against NVU Johnson.
