For the second time in barely a week, the Clarkson University Baseball team and Plattsburgh State will play a non-league nine-inning contest, this time with the Golden Knights taking the bats and gloves to Plattsburgh on Wednesday.

The Series: The two teams met up at Jack Phillips Stadium last Tuesday and locked into a slugfest, as Plattsburgh came away with a 12-10 win. Aidan Kuefner collected four hits in the game for the Knights, while Joe Figliolino also had three hits.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-12): On Sunday, graduate student Kent Wilson became the first Clarkson player to reach 150 career hits since Brad Pearson in 2019. Wilson is hitting .367/.409/.481 and can place himself in Clarkson's all-time top 10 in hits with two more on Wednesday. He is also just 10 hits shy of becoming the seventh player in program history to reach 160 hits. CJ Cartier was hot last week with eight hits in 18 at bats, and is now hitting .314. Aidan Diltz leads the team with a .410 batting average, but Joey DiRocco (.404/.508/.660) and Kyle Cremin (.359/.476/.641) have higher OPS marks. Cremin leads the team with 28 runs batted in and has struck four home runs. Alex Kornblau is hitting .359/.471/.547 with three home runs and a team-best 23 runs scored.
