The Series: Clarkson suffered season sweeps against both foes a year ago. RIT won its games by 11 and 12 points, respectively, while William Smith came away with victories by 17 and 9 points in 2023-24.

Key Stats for Clarkson (5-10, 1-7 Liberty League): Though each of the last three games have been losses for the Golden Knights, Clarkson has been there late in the games. Through three periods, Clarkson trailed by eight and in the fourth quarter against both Ithaca and Vassar the Knights trailed by just five. Clarkson has struggled to get to the free throw line, attempting the fewest in the league by a wide margin, something that has grown in recent weeks. Over the last six games, opponents have shot 131 free throws, making 88, while the Knights have only attempted 58 in that span.

Key Stats for RIT (7-7, 5-2 Liberty League): The Tigers are led by first-year sensation Caroline Henderson, who ranks fourth in the Liberty League in scoring at 14.5 points per game. Henderson has reached double figures in 10 straight contests thanks to some strong shooting from the perimeter. She does have one of the odder statistical splits that one might notice: Henderson is shooting 41.7% from beyond the 3-point arc with 45 3-pointers made, but is shooting only 31.8% from inside the arc (21-for-66).

Key Stats for William Smith (2-13, 2-6 Liberty League): The Herons have just one player averaging double figures this year in Amelia McCulley, who is putting up 12.3 points per game to go along with 4.7 rebounds per contest and a league-best 1.9 blocks per game. William Smith ranks last in both field goal defense (40.4%) and scoring defense (71.5 ppg), with the latter figure the bottom number by nearly five points per game. Part of that also comes from a severe deficit in turnovers, as William Smith is committing 5.40 turnovers more than its opponents.
