AT CLARKSON (1990-94) – A tremendous competitor, whose aggressive style earned him billing as one of the top netminders IN THE Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) during his four-year tenure … Shared time with Chris Rogles ’93 through first three seasons and then took sole possession of the starting role in his senior campaign … Played in 85 games overall and posted a 44-25-9 overall record, including four shutouts … Helped to lead Clarkson to two ECAC Tournament Championships (1991, 1993), three NCAA Tournament showings (1991, 1992, 1993), including a Frozen Four berth (1991), and an ECAC Regular Season title during his four-year career … Posted a .901 save percentage and a 3.14 goals against average during his career.

SENIOR YEAR (1993-94) – Co-recipient of Clarkson’s Unsung Hero Award and a second-team ECAC All-Star … Backboned the Golden Knights to a 20-win campaign and a second place finish in the ECAC … Played in 33 of the Knights’ 34 games, posting a .907 save percentage and a 3.03 goals against average en route to an 18-9-5 record … One of the hottest goaltenders in the conference down the stretch, starting the last 18 games and posting a 13-3-2 mark since January 21 …  Posted back-to-back 40-save efforts in weekend sweep on the road of Vermont and Dartmouth. Made 40 stops in 4-2 vcitory at UVM (2/25) and followed with a career-high 47 saves in 4-2 triumph at Dartmouth (2/26) … Recorded two assists … Named ECAC Player of the Week once and selected five times to league’s weekly Honor Roll … Chosen as an alternate goaltender for the Shrine Senior All-Star Game. 

 

JUNIOR YEAR (1992-93) – Experienced some bad breaks, being on the wrong end of four one-goal losses en route to a 4-6-1 record … Played in 12 games, posting a .895 save percentage and a 3.17 goals against average … Won his last two starts … Also picked up the victory with 15 saves in a relief role in 8-6 come-from-behind win at Brown (3/6) which clinched third place in the ECAC for Clarkson … Shutout Union (2/20) and Princeton (2/27) both on 23 saves in one week’s time … Named ECAC Player of the Week after posting 39 saves, including a school-record 21 stops in the third period in Knights’ 6-1 season opening triumph over UNH … Selected to league honor roll once … Recorded two assists. 

 

SOPHOMORE YEAR (1991-92) – Displayed great confidence as the season progressed … Played in 19 games recording the third best save percentage in the country at .912 … Also posted a 2.87 GAA and an 11-7-1 record … Shutout Princeton twice with 36 saves in 3-0 win in Potsdam (1/3) and behind career-high 39 saves in 4-0 victory in New Jersey (2/22) … Started 17 games including NCAA West Regional contest against Northern Michigan … Started last five games of the regular season, posting a 4-1 record, to help Clarkson secure a second-place tie in the conference … Earned ECAC Honorable Mention all-star accolades.

 

FRESHMAN YEAR (1990-91) – Enjoyed an impressive rookie debut … Played in 21 games, including 15 starts, posting a .884 save %, a 3.59 GAA, and an 11-3-2 record … Was ranked 8th among ECAC goaltenders … Made 24 saves in 9-4 win over Lowell (11/3) to earn first collegiate victory … Posted 19 saves over Western Michigan in 7-0 win in the first round of the Dexter Hockey Classic (12/22) for first collegiate shutout … Best outing was a 33-save effort in 4-2 win over New Hampshire (11/25) … Was awarded First Star in the opening game of the NCAA Quarterfinal series 7-3 victory over Lake Superior State (3/22) when he shutdown the Lakers with 27 saves through one-and-a-half periods.

 

BEFORE CLARSON – Was an all-star in the Toronto Metro Junior B League … Backboned the Wexford Raiders to a runner-up finish in the league championship tourney in 1989-90 … In 22 games he recorded a 17-2-3 record, including two shutouts, and a league leading 2.30 GAA.
