Men's Swimming
Mike Rowe
Freshman - Glenville, NY

For the fifth time this season, and for the second straight week, freshman Mike Rowe was chosen as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week. In three dual meets, all lopsided victories for the Golden Knights, Rowe was a dominant force, earning more points for the men's team than any other swimmer. Against St. Mike's on Wednesday he won the 100 backstroke (1:01.51) and 200 freestyle (2:02.24), versus Potsdam on Friday he won the 200 freestyle (1:50.12) and 200 backstroke (1:58.89, which was just a half second off his own school record, and against Utica he won the 200 individual medley (2:23.86), 400 freestyle (4:26.38) and 800 freestyle (9:03.86).

Women's Swimming
Katherine Gawrys
Senior - Ballston Spa, NY

Katherine Gawrys won more points than any other swimmer for Clarkson this past week, taking eight individual events in three dual meet victories for Clarkson. She won the 100 butterfly and 400 and 800 freestyle against St. Mike's, the 200 butterfly and 500 and 1000 freestyle against Potsdam, and then won the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle against Utica on Saturday.

Men's Hockey
Shea Guthrie
Senior, Forward - Carleton Place, ONT

Shea
Guthrie has played a leading role in the resurgence of Clarkson by highlighting the Knights’ offensive surge. In Clarkson’s first weekend sweep at home this season, the Knights’ assistant captain tallied five points and three goals, including both overtime game-winners in 4-3 victories over Union and RPI. In Saturday’s come-from-behind win over the Engineers, Guthrie tied the game 3-3 late in regulation and then connected for his third game-winning goal in the past three contests, netting the deciding goal at 1:51 of the extra session. He also assisted on Clarkson’s second goal against RPI. Against Union on Friday, the 2005 NY Islanders’ draft choice, scored 1:32 into overtime in Clarkson’s first win at Cheel Arena since November 7. He was named ECAC Hockey player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Women's Hockey
Melissa Waldie
Sophomore, Forward - Newmarket, ONT

Meliisa Waldie scored three goals as Clarkson split on the road during the weekend. She had the Knights’ lone tally at Rensselaer on Friday, and recorded her first multiple-goal game of the season in Saturday’s 3-0 win at Union.

Men's Basketball
Elson Pickering
Junior, Guard - Brooklyn, NY

Elson Pickering averaged 16.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game through three games this past week. He also added a total of 3 blocks, 3 steals and 3 assists. He scored a season-high 26 points (10-for-23) in a double-overtime win over RPI.
