RECORDS/TRADITION

One of the first athletic programs for women at Clarkson University, the Golden Knights began their volleyball program in 1975. The team enjoyed two playoff appearances in the mid-1980s, but it wasn't until the early 2000s that the program began to take off. Since then, the Golden Knights have reached the NCAA Tournament 11 times (2009-2017, 2019, 2021), and have hosted the NCAA Regionals six times (2011-13, 2015, 2017, 2019). Numerous student-athletes have earned All-American honors. Sara Artus (2011), Xiao Liang (2013), Kirstie Shurie (2014-15), Aishvina Arasu (2015), and Kate Isaksen (2017-19) have each gained notice on one of the three named AVCA All-American teams, with Isaksen earning First-Team All-American honors in 2018.
