Friday, October 8
RIT 3, Elizabethtown 0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-15)
RIT was able to stay out of any prolonged slumps against the Blue Jays, not allowing Elizabethtown to record back-to-back points until 15 serves into the match up. The Tigers were able to keep the Jays out of system while on the serve, forcing them into 10 reception errors in the match up and numerous unclean attempts.

RIT was led by Jessica Schaffer's 16 kills, and Christina Worth added in 33 assists and four aces. Rebecca Moore also contributed seven kills and 11 digs.

Holly Bubb recorded eight kills to lead Elizabethtown, while Crystal Agnew added in 17 assists and seven digs. Kelsey Hayes contributed six kills and five total blocks, and defensive specialist Carolyn Lukiewski dug 17 balls in the match up for the Blue Jays.

St. Lawrence 3, Plattsburgh 0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-15)
Consistency was the name of the game in the day's second match up, as St. Lawrence won by the identical score in all three sets. The Saints dialed up a hitting percentage of .365 for the match (37-6-85).

Liz Grogen led the way with 10 kills against just a single error in 23 swings, while Nyasha Miller posted six kills and a team-best 15 digs. Abby Rose assisted on 23 kills and had six digs, while Lauren Drozynski served three aces.

For Plattsburgh, the numbers were evenly distributed offensively as Theresa Lilly and Kristin Saheim each tied for the team lead with four kills. Hilary Boyea had 13 kills and six digs, and libero Andrea Kalter had 11 digs.

Elizabethtown 3, St. Lawrence 2 (25-19, 17-25, 25-14, 15-25, 15-9)
With back and forth blowout sets, neither team was able to take control of the match and establish a steady flow. It the final set of the match, Elizabethtown jumped out to a four-point advantage in the early going and was able to maintain that edge for the rest of the match to take home the victory and a split for the day.

Middle hitter Lindsay Palm led the Blue Jays with 14 kills and added in seven digs, while Katie Gantz contributed a double-double with 15 digs and 12 kills. Crystal Agnew surpassed 40 assists, reaching 43 in the match, and three players recorded double figures in digs, led by Carolyn Lukiewski's 26.

Clarkson 3, RIT 2 (23-25, 25-16, 25-21, 19-25, 15-10)
Momentum swung wildly on several occasions in the marquee match up for Clarkson as the team unveiled is 2009 NCAA Tournament and Liberty League Championship banners in front of a significant crowd.

Freshman setter Lani Durio (Austin, TX) posted a career-high 52 assists and was among six players to record double-figures in digs, producing 10. Holly McDaniel (Hacienda Heights, CA) led the way with 21 digs for the defense.

Offensively, Clarkson was led by a trio of outside hitters as junior Sara Artus (St. Regis Falls, NY) had 17 kills with three errors in 44 swings. Classmate Megan Mahon (Irvine, CA) was just behind Artus with 16 kills, and sophomore Courtney Haines (Crestview, FL) also reached double-digits with 14 kills. Junior Rachel Simons (Webster, NY) had five total blocks.

For RIT, Jessica Schaffer had 20 kills to lead all players in the match, and Rebecca Moore added 13 kills. Christina Worth had 41 assists for the Tigers, and Megan Henriksen led everyone with 23 digs.

Saturday, October 9
Clarkson 3, Plattsburgh State 0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-5)
The entire roster saw time for the Golden Knights in a three-set sweep over Plattsburgh. The Cardinals were able to make headway in the first two sets despite early deficits, and were able to cut the Clarkson advantage to miniscule leads, but the Knights always fought back to maintain the lead.

Freshman Erika Chin (Katy, TX) had 22 assists in the final two sets for the Knights as six different players recorded multiple kills. Sara Artus led the way with 10 points, while Megan Mahon added eight more kills. Senior libero Alison Schroeder (Webster, NY) tossed in 18 digs, and freshman Holly McDaniel produced 14 digs.

Plattsburgh was led by Theresa Lilly with six kills and four digs, while Kristin Saheim added four kills and three blocks. Andrea Kalter led the Cardinals defensively with 12 digs.

RIT 3, St. Lawrence 1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-16)
After dropping the first set, RIT rallied to take three straight to move to 2-1 at the Clarkson Invitational.

Jessica Schaffer recorded a match-high 16 kills for RIT, while Katie Cooper and Rebecca Moore, an All-Tournament selection, each had 12 kills. Christina Worth made 47 assists in the match for the Tigers. Four players had at least 14 digs for RIT, led by Cooper's 19.

For St. Lawrence, Liz Grogen hit at a .579 clip (12-1-18) to lead the Saints offensively, while Nyasha Miller struck for 11 kills in an active day that included 47 swings. Abby Rose, who was chosen for the All-Tournament team, had 35 assists and nine digs, and Katherine Pierce, the St. Lawrence libero, had 16 digs.

RIT 3, Plattsburgh State 1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-16, 25-21)
The Cardinals put forth a feisty effort against RIT with some impressive serving, including 12 aces in the match with four coming from Kayla Hoopes, but the Tigers were able to hold off a late charge in the fourth set to take home the victory for a 3-1 weekend.

Rebecca Moore had a match-high 16 kills while Katie Cooper and Jessica Schaffer each struck for seven kills, with Schaffer also digging 16 balls. Christina Worth assisted on 33 kills and Megan Henriksen led the team with 19 digs at the libero position.

The Cardinals had four players with multiple aces, a key part of the offensive equation in their effort. Theresa Lilly, also named to the All-Tournament team, hit at a .300 percentage (7-1-20) and had 10 digs. Chyresse Wells led the way with 13 digs and Andrea Kalter had a double-double with 24 assists and 11 digs.

Elizabethtown 3, Clarkson 2 (23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22, 15-12)
A rowdy match between the host and the furthest traveler to the tournament ended in five sets with Clarkson losing seven of the final nine points to succumb to the Blue Jays.

Holly Bubb struck for 18 kills and just two errors in 34 swings for the Blue Jays and Kelsey Hayes had 14 kills and no errors in 23 attempts. Crystal Agnew had 48 assists and 13 digs, while Katie Gantz had a team-best 23 digs. Carolyn Lukiewski produced 21 digs.

For Clarkson, Lani Durio, selected to the All-Tournament squad, had 56 assists and nine digs. Sara Artus had a season-high 24 kills and Megan Mahon added 18 kills. Alison Schroeder and Holly McDaniel each dug 26 balls.
