Former Clarkson All-America Willie Mitchell raises the Stanley Cup after the Los Angeles Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils 6-1 on June 11 at the Staples Center in downtown LA to win the best of seven final in six games. Mitchell becomes the fifth former Golden Knight to win the Stanley Cup and the third member of Clarkson Hockey's Class of 2001, joining former Golden Knight teammates Erik Cole (Carolina -2006) and Kent Huskins (Anaheim - 2007) as NHL Champions. Former Golden Knight all-stars Colin Patterson '84 (Calgary -1989) and Todd Marchant (Anaheim -2007) also represent Clarkson on the Stanley Cup.
