With student-athletes returning to Clarkson for the start of preseason practices in a couple of weeks, the Golden Knights will be looking to lay the groundwork for successfull fall campaigns. Women's Scoccer Head Coach Sarah Raymond and Assistant Coach Rachael Sushner gained Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year award in 2011, leading the Golden Knights to their first winning season since 1992 with a mark of 8-7-1 overall. Clarkson's defensive efforts were solid all year long, allowing fewer than a goal per game for the first time in the history of the 30-year-old program. Clarkson Women's Soccer begins the 2012 schedule on September 1.
